Preparations
This ingredient is ideal for adding character to high-end sponge cakes, biscuits and bonbons. Its resistance makes it perfect for customised tea blends, dry fillings and as a last-minute topping on plated desserts. In creative bakery, it works exceptionally well in pastry finishes and sweet bread decorations, providing a highly valued bitter and crunchy contrast.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bake Crispy Coffee into a sponge cake batter?
Although it withstands temperature well, the moisture in the batter during baking will make it lose its crunchy texture. It is best used as a post-bake decoration or in low-hydration cookie doughs.
How should I store Crispy Coffee once the original jar has been opened?
It is essential to keep it between 15–25°C in a dry place. As it attracts moisture easily, we strongly recommend not removing the desiccant sachet and vacuum-sealing the container if possible.
How long does it keep its properties once opened?
If the storage recommendations are followed and the desiccant sachet is used, the product keeps its optimal texture and flavour for 15 days. After this time, it may start to soften.
Can the brown colour of the granules stain my white preparations?
As it is a dry, non-sticky product, the colour does not usually migrate in dry applications. With direct contact with moisture, it may release some of the coffee’s natural colouring, creating a marbled effect.
