Son nom vient du verbe italien \u00ab\u00a0tagliare\u00a0\u00bb, qui signifie \u00ab\u00a0couper\u00a0\u00bb, refl\u00e9tant la technique artisanale qui consiste \u00e0 d\u00e9couper la p\u00e2te en fines lani\u00e8res.
